Monday to Friday scheduled between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Work Categorization: This position requires daily on-site presence and is not subject to hybrid work.

Note: This is a part-time temporary Support position (up to 24 hours per week) for 1-year from the date of hire.

Duties: Under the daily guidance of the Work Team Coordinator (WTC) and reporting to the Associate Registrar, Student Communications, the Part-time Support Services Officer is responsible for providing seamless service to students, prospective students, parents, Faculty, staff, Administrators, Academic Schools, other areas of the College, local employers and the community at large.

This position involves daily exchanges of information and the incumbent is required to be flexible and stay on top of important information and applicable policies as it relates to students. The Part-time Support Services Officer works under pressure during peak periods, balancing work priorities while maintaining focus on quality student service. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the Office of the Registrar’s main phone line, email inbox, live chat function, front counter and occasionally through face-to-face live virtual rooms.
  • Post-secondary 2-year diploma in Office Administration, Business, Communications or related field
  • A combination of 2 years’ of experience in a customer service and/or student services role
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Experience providing direct service to students
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level processing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume work environment
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
