Program Store – Live Chic Story
Live Chic is a unique store located in Fanshawe College, London, ON in the Siskind Gallery.
Both the physical and the online store - livechic.ca – are run by students of the Fashion Marketing and Management Program. You shop…we learn. We sell a curated collection of apparel, accessories gift and beauty merchandise. We buy locally, supporting current students and graduates including small vendors and artisans.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for all store opening and closing procedures, daily sales reports and deposits
  • Training students to use Point of Sale system
  • Overseeing students during their scheduled shifts and ensuring a checklist for the student’s responsibilities and expectations is completed
  • Coaching students with customer service and sales, including assisting with buying, merchandising and displays
  • In collaboration with students, assist with new ways to improve sales, meet sales targets, analyze figures, forecast volumes, and strategize for optimal success
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed as per College policy
  • Oversee students with pricing merchandise, keying inventory in the Point of Sale system, and completing returns of any defective merchandise to the vendor
  • Collaborating with students on follow-up with vendors, maintaining stock levels in store and online, and receiving merchandise and supplies
  • Execute instore channel strategies in collaboration with students including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Responsible for ecommerce customer service and fulfillment
  • Supporting faculty with assigned curriculum directives to be completed in program store (Retail Learning lab)
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary 2-year diploma in Fashion Merchandising/Marketing and Management preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ retail and management industry experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Experience with merchandising and display
  • Experience with Retail Point of Sale systems and Shopify would be an asset
  • Strong organization skills, time management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
